The Jobs and Skills Australia Work Plan focusses on priorities to support JSA’s delivery of high-quality advice to underpin Australia’s response to current, emerging and future workforce, skills and training needs.
Each annual work plan sets out the key outcomes and priorities for the financial year. Key focuses this year include tackling skills shortages, forecasting labour market trends, and consideration of workforce participation and employment pathways for priority groups.
Strategic outcomes
Our 2024-25 work agenda is guided by JSA’s five strategic Commissioner’s outcomes:
- Fostering inclusive participation.
- Understanding today’s workforce.
- Shaping Australia’s future workforce.
- Optimising pathways and system architecture.
- Activating an informed dialogue.
The work plan has been developed in consultation with our Ministerial Advisory Board, Jobs and Skills Councils, state and territory governments, Commonwealth government agencies and a wide range of other stakeholders (including a public submission process).
