The latest Australian Labour Market for Migrants report is now available, providing insights into labour market performance as of October 2024.
Despite a gradual easing of some economic indicators, the labour market continues to perform well, demonstrating resilience amid broader economic shifts.
The report also shows that in August 2024, the ACT had the highest share (61%) of employment in the selected occupation major groups (i.e. Managers, Professionals, and Technicians and Trade Workers), followed by Victoria (55%), then NSW at 53%.
This release, we see the largest increases in trend employment for Health Care and Social Assistance, Financial and Insurance Services, Manufacturing, and Information Media and Telecommunications.
