The Recruitment Experiences and Outlook Survey (REOS) Recruitment Insights Report for November 2023 was released today.
Results show that recruitment difficulty was unchanged over the month, at 56% of recruiting employers. This figure is 19 percentage points less than the peak of 75% in July 2022, and 13 percentage points lower than a year ago.
The recruitment rate increased by 3 percentage points to 52% of employers in November 2023. Employers were more likely to be recruiting in Rest of State areas (58% of employers) than in Capital Cities (48%).
Similarly, the proportion of employers expecting to increase their staff numbers in the next three months was 21%, with more optimism in Rest of State areas (25% expecting to increase staffing) than in Capital Cities (20%).
