Among the key findings this quarter, Health Care and Social Assistance industry leads as the largest employer, with over 2.2 million workers. Women dominate this sector (77%), and the median age of workers is 40. Registered Nurses are the most common occupation within the industry.
Meanwhile, Sales Assistants (General) is the single largest occupation in Australia, employing more than 500,000 people. 63% of these workers are female, and 70% work part-time hours, highlighting the flexibility in the retail sector.
