Have your say on Jobs and Skills Australia’s 2025-26 work plan

At Jobs and Skills Australia, we believe collaboration with our stakeholders is key to our success at helping Australia meet its present and future skills needs. Our annual work plans shape our priorities and guide our efforts to meet Australia’s workforce and skills needs, now and into the future. But we can’t do it alone – we need your voice!

Jobs and Skills Australia is seeking input into our 2025-26 work plan which will guide our ongoing focus and efforts.

Committed to delivering evidence-based advice, we focus on addressing Australia’s workforce and skills needs, both now and in the future. This is your opportunity to shape the direction of our work. Tell us what matters most to you, share your insights, and help us see the full skills potential of Australia. Together we can shape a work plan that provides a strong platform for Jobs and Skills Australia to continue its valuable contribution in seeing the full skills potential of our nation, our communities, and people realised.

Each year, these work plans outline major studies, research and analytic products designed to tackle emerging workforce, skills and training challenges. They aim to support a labour market where all Australians can achieve their full potential.

Our previous work plan facilitated the successful delivery of several key initiatives, including our most recent annual Jobs and Skills Report titled Better Together – The Jobs and Skills Report, and one of our major capacity studies, The Future of The Early Childhood Education Profession. We also produced an interim report examining the unique experiences and perspectives of Australians living and working outside major metropolitan areas, titled Towards a Regional, Rural and Remote Jobs and Skills Roadmap. In addition, we developed a range of products exploring broader workforce trends and delivered a number of regular labour market snapshots.
