At Jobs and Skills Australia, collaboration is central to everything we do. It is especially critical in shaping our annual work plans, which define our priorities and guide our ongoing focus and efforts.

We are committed to providing evidence-based advice that addresses Australia’s current and future workforce and skills needs. To achieve this, we are seeking your valuable input to help shape the 2025-26 work plan. Your feedback is vital in ensuring the 2025-26 work plan reflects the priorities that matter most to you.

Our annual work plans outline the key outcomes and priorities for each financial year, including major studies, research and analytic projects.

Informed by consultation with our stakeholders, we are pursuing five strategic Commissioner’s outcomes across our work program to deliver on our legislative remit: 

• fostering inclusive participation
• understanding today’s workforce
• shaping Australia’s future workforce
• optimising pathways and system architecture, and 
• activating an informed dialogue.

Creating a thriving labour market where all Australians can reach their full potential requires collaboration, shared insights, and innovative strategies. Together, we can shape a stronger, more resilient workforce to meet the challenges of the future.
