REOS December quarter 2024 results
This month, the REOS spotlights the results from the December 2024 quarter. Highlights include:
- recruitment activity eased across all states and territories (except for Western Australia) over the year
- New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia had the weakest recruitment activity (39%)
- within the states, Queensland recorded the highest rate of recruitment difficulty (59%)
- Victorian recruiters recorded some of the least difficulty recruiting (43%)
- employers in the Northern Territory are still the most likely to be looking for staff
- employers are finding it easier to fill Technician and Trades Worker positions compared with a year ago
- recruitment difficulty in the Construction industry currently remains higher than in other reported industries.
